We’re delighted to welcome 10 new volunteers who have just completed their preparation course with Home-Start Bristol and South Gloucestershire 🎉
They are now ready to begin or have already started supporting local families, offering a listening ear, practical help, and compassionate, non judgemental support where it is needed most.
Our preparation course is an essential part of the journey into volunteering with Home Start. Over the course of the programme, volunteers explore key topics including understanding family needs, safeguarding, building supportive relationships, and reflecting on their role within the Home Start approach. It is designed to build confidence, share knowledge, and ensure volunteers feel fully prepared to support families in a meaningful and safe way.
